ASK YOURSELF…

  • Do they have your best interests at heart?
  • Are they transparent and honest with you?
  • Do they follow through on their promises?
  • Are they focused on your goals?
  • Do you “vibe” or feel comfortable with them?

Regardless of how busy an agent may be this season, it should be their number one priority to have the best transaction possible! This includes respecting the client’s wishes, having open communication throughout the process and, of course, getting the most money or the best deal.

At times, this means that an agent’s job can be uncomfortable. For example, in a situation where an offer is  accepted but a higher offer comes in afterwards, it is still an agent’s duty to submit the offer to their client. This may be difficult, change their commission amount, or cause tension between agents. None of that matters. An agent’s loyalty should always be to their client.

Make sure, as a home buyer or seller, to choose an agent who you can put your faith (and money) in. It is not a decision to take lightly. This is something that we practice and preach at The Giambra Team.
